Corrections & Clarifications

In an earlier version of the story headlined 'Blacon High School hoax call: Council contact schools with safety advice', we used a photograph which appeared with an old, out of date and inaccurate caption which may have implied criticism of the way the school had handled the hoax call issue. We would like to stress this caption did not relate in any way to this week's story and that Blacon High School handled the hoax call situation in an exemplary manner. The Chronicle apologises for this error.

In an earlier version of the story headlined 'Tattenhall: Firefighters battle 20ft flames at farm', we incorrectly stated the fire started after a man fell asleep while burning tyres. We have been asked to point out that no tyres were being deliberately burnt at the farm. The Chronicle apologises for this error.
